The Origin Story
The industry didn't break us. It lit the fuse.
Five developers. Different studios, different cities, different roles, but the same story... Some of us had been building worlds for other people for years and had shipped titles we were proud of. We have been watching the same thing happen to colleagues we admired, then watching it happen to us.
You spend enough time making games for someone else's vision and you start to wonder what your own looks like. The layoffs answered that question the hard way.
We didn't plan this. There was no boardroom, no pitch deck, no investor call. There was a group chat: five people who had nothing but time, talent, and a shared fury at how things had gone. Then the talking stopped and the building started...
Darkflame Studios was created not because we had a business plan, but because we had no other choice.
Strength & Sorcery is the game we needed to exist. It is built by people who know what it costs to make games and who chose to do it anyway, on our own terms.
The darkness came for us first.
Now we're sending it back.

Our Philosophy
We make games we want to play. No dark patterns, no FOMO mechanics, no inflated prices. Just good game design.
We post real dev logs: bugs, hard decisions, pivots included. Community trust is earned by honesty, not marketing.
We believe in getting things into players' hands fast and refined based on real feedback. Perfected is the enemy of shipped.
